Building a Leadership Team for a New Data Centre Development
When a global technology company planned to develop a new hyperscale data centre campus in Europe, they needed a senior leadership team to oversee design, construction, and operational readiness.
We partnered with them to recruit a Data Centre Director to lead the overall programme, a Head of Engineering to oversee mechanical, electrical, and civil design, and an Operations Director to manage commissioning and future operational delivery.
Once the leadership team was in place, we supported recruitment of project managers, design engineers, and facility specialists to ensure the data centre could be delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest technical and sustainability standards. Today, the campus is fully operational, demonstrating how strategic leadership appointments combined with structured team building enables large-scale data centre projects to succeed.
Expanding a Data Centre Operator’s Regional Leadership Team
A leading data centre operator was expanding across multiple European locations and needed a regional leadership team to manage new facilities and standardise operations.
We partnered with them to appoint a Regional Managing Director, a Head of Operations, and a Head of Facilities Management, ensuring the team had the expertise to deliver consistent operational excellence across sites.
We also supported recruitment of Engineering Managers, Energy Specialists, and Compliance Officers to implement operational protocols, sustainability initiatives, and IT infrastructure integration. Today, the operator manages multiple facilities efficiently, meeting high standards for uptime, energy efficiency, and client satisfaction. This demonstrates how senior leadership and strong functional teams are critical to scaling data centre operations successfully.

When a global cloud provider planned a new greenfield data centre, they needed a senior leadership team capable of delivering the project from concept to commissioning.
We partnered with them to recruit a Programme Director to lead the build, a Head of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering to oversee systems, and a Construction Director to manage contractors and site delivery.
Once the leadership team was in place, we supported recruitment of a Project Manager and Design Engineer to deliver the facility efficiently and sustainably.
